Positive Psychology-Based Programs

In this structured, experiential, multi-week series, participants discover the synergy of mindfulness and their unique character strengths and how each can enhance the other in all areas of life. Each one-hour session consists of mindfulness meditation, character strengths exercises, learning, and group discussion. This series is offered once in the fall and once in the spring. Open to all Yale employees.

For employees looking for a one-to-one personal experience, discover how your unique strengths can support you in making a change or taking steps towards a goal. These transformational sessions are offered by National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach and Certified Guiding Mindful Change Coach, Danielle Casioppo. Explore empowering tools and evidence-based interventions from the fields of Applied Psychology and Positive Psychology. Discover the wisdom within you.

In this 60 to 90-minute experiential workshop, participants learn about the power of their unique character strengths and how to apply them in several evidence-based interventions. These powerful practices support participants in living more authentically and provide tools for better navigating challenges. Learn how to shift your focus from what’s wrong to what’s strong at work and at home, with colleagues, friends, and family.

Create a vision for the next chapter in your life story. This multi-week series supports self-discovery through Applied and Positive Psychology concepts, powerful questions for reflection, mindful awareness, character strengths engagement, and self-coaching prompts. This exploratory series is aimed at personal growth and deepening of self-knowledge. Each session builds off of the last, introducing new skills and concepts each week. Participants will get out of it what they put in.

Practicing gratitude goes beyond saying thank you. It’s about cultivating an outlook on life and a way of approaching life’s challenges. In this empirically based workshop participants are invited to learn about and experience a variety of gratitude interventions and the science behind them. The interventions range from a grateful breathing practice to a clinically researched writing exercise and more! Each of the interventions have been shown to increase mental and physical well-being. This one-hour program is perfect for groups or departments and can be requested at any time.

The programs listed above are led by Danielle Casioppo, MS, NBC-HWC, Education Specialist, Charter-Certified MBSP instructor, Certified Applied Positive Psychology practitioner, and Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher with Being Well at Yale.
