Free, afternoon group meditation for Yale faculty and staff on Fridays, from 12:15 - 12:45 p.m., at the Med School, SHM C103.
During the afternoon meditation, practitioners find a comfortable seated position, either on the floor or in a chair. The meditation bell is rung at 12:15 p.m. and meditation begins. At 12:45 p.m. the bowl is rung again indicating the end of meditation. Any kind of seated meditation may be practiced. Beginners welcome! No experience necessary, no equipment needed.
Anne Dutton, LCSW, with the Yale Stress Center leads the meditation and is available to answer questions and provide guidance before the meditation from 12:00 - 12:15 p.m. She is also available to answer questions after the meditation from 12:45 - 1:00 p.m.
No sign-up required! Just drop-in. If you can’t be there from start to finish, come anyway! Just slip in or out as quietly as possible.
