Free afternoon group meditation for the Yale community held in the Rose Center, 101 Ashmun Street, next to the Yale Police Department, from 12:15 - 12:45 PM EST.
During the afternoon meditation, practitioners find a comfortable seat in a chair. Meditations are about 30 minutes long and a mix of guided and silent. Time for reflections and optional sharing is also included at the conclusion of the practice.
Beginners welcome! No experience necessary. No special equipment required.
Danielle Casioppo, MS, RYT, Health Educator for Being Well at Yale, leads the meditation and is available to answer questions and provide guidance before and after the meditation.
No sign-up required. Can’t be there from start to finish? Come anyway! Just slip in or out as quietly as possible.
Thank you for opening the Monday Zoom meditation sessions to Yale Alumi. The part-guided, part-silent meditation has taught me that I can actually meditate. It had always seemed overwhelming before… I now also meditate on my own, which was unimaginable a year ago.” - Laura Brennan, ‘88
