Ready, Set, Go challenge employee success stories

Back in March I went to see my doctor at the Health Plan for a regular physical. He said to me: “You are obese; which I already knew but had procrastinated doing something about it. He told me that I needed to lose 15 pounds ASAP to at least bring me to a manageable weight. Well, I decided to do something about it. Got myself on a diet… and well the picture speaks for itself. The Ready, Set, Go challenge helped stay on track to achieve my goal. I still have some more weight to lose, but I think I am on the right track and at the right pace. - Josue Rodriguez, Data Manager, Pediatrics (pictured below)

I’ve dropped two belt notches! The challenge helped me realize how much time I already had to exercise without changing my schedule. - Phil Barello, Team GRaD, Applications Support Specialist, ITS Service Desk

I really like this site. Even if I don’t use it every day it’s a great way to stay connected to what I’m doing about weight management. Thanks for the great aid. - Susan Chase Jones, Administrative Assistant, University Librarian’s Office

Just want you to know that with the Fitbit I won, I have managed to do 2 days of over 10,000 steps this week. I am so happy that I won and now I can keep track of my steps. I love it. This is keeping me on the right track now. - Judith Smith, Senior Administrative Assistant, Department of Psychiatry, Yale University/VAMC

Thank you……..we love our gifts. But the best gift of all is being well with our family, friends, and coworkers! - Teresa Corato, Project Assistant, Finance & Administration
