During this 45 minute virtual tour, you’ll discover highlights from the vast collections at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Featured artworks span across cultures and centuries, ranging from Ghanaian textiles and French painting to Japanese pottery. Encounter new artworks and revisit familiar favorites from artists including Michelangelo, Jackson Pollock, and the work shown here by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Madame Georges Charpentier and Her Children (1878).

About Your Tour Guide

Julie Averbach recently graduated from Yale University with a double major in History of Art and Psychology. In July 2020, Julie launched the nonprofit initiative smARTee to promote arts access and emotional well-being (www.smartee.biz). Currently, she serves as a Cohen Public Service Fellow at Yale, where she continually expands smARTee’s global impact.

This event is open to Yale faculty, students and staff.
