Event description:

More than six million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and it is projected to reach 13 million by 2050. In Connecticut alone, there are 80,000 people living with this disease, and twice as many caregivers; many of which are unpaid family members. Studies that include the MIND (Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay) diet have proven that being proactive with a healthy diet and lifestyle can lower your risk.

Join Yale Health Registered Dietitian, Alisa Scherban, and Kristen Cusato, Director of Communications and Research Champion for the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, to discuss key lifestyle factors that can keep your brain healthy as you age. You will also learn about the Alzheimer’s Association’s upcoming “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” throughout Connecticut this Fall.

Open to all Yale affiliates.
