The world may look a little different right now, but one thing hasn’t changed: the commitment to ending Alzheimer’s. This year, Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is everywhere — on every sidewalk, track, and trail. Support the Yale Affinity Group team for the 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. This year’s event won’t be a large in-person gathering — instead, we invite you to walk in small teams of friends and family while others in your community do the same. Because we are all still walking and fundraising for the same thing: a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
At 10 am on 9/26, you can watch the Opening and Promise Garden Ceremony on Mainstage, the interactive online experience for this year’s walk. From 12-2 pm on 9/26, you can drive thru to experience the view-only planted Promise Garden at the West Haven Green Gazebo. You can also download the walk app, which includes the following features:
- Follow a virtual path as you walk in your neighborhood
- Add stickers to your photos and share on social media
- Track your steps to add to the total number walked around the country
