World Tai Chi and Qigong Day was established in 1999 as a free public event to bring people across racial, economic, religious, and geo-political boundaries together for the purpose of health and healing through tai chi and qigong. It is celebrated in 80 nations at 10am on the last Saturday of April, beginning in Samoa and ending in Hawaii.
World Tai Chi and Qigong Day in New Haven is organized annually by the Yale-China Association, Aiping Tai Chi Center, and members of the local tai chi community with generous support from Yale University departments and New Haven leaders.
Save the date, Saturday, April 27, 2019, for the outdoor tai chi and qigong demonstrations and workshops in the heart of New Haven on the Green. Following the workshops will be a symposium featuring several leading researchers and speakers on the health benefits of tai chi.
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
