Food Day comes to Yale with a message to Eat Real!

October 18, 2013

Looking to make a difference at a grassroots level and learn about the future of food production, education, and consumption?

Food Day is a nationwide celebration and a movement for healthy, affordable, sustainable food. Food Day sponsored activities go on throughout the year all across the country. The founders of this community driven, national initiative believe that “the most important ingredient in Food Day is you!” Participants are encouraged to take advantage of these events to celebrate healthy food, eat a more sustainable diet and collaborate to make meaningful change. The Food Day organization’s main message is to EAT REAL! Real food that is. Food that’s non-GMO, grown locally, sustainably and ethically.

The Food Day annual series of events will be happening starting Saturday, October 19th and continue through Thursday, October 24th. Talks will be held at Yale by leading food policy activists on a variety of subjects ranging from the GMO controversy to issues of sustainability.
