The Science of Gratitude: Simple Practices for Work and Home

Practicing gratitude goes beyond just saying ‘thank you’. It’s about cultivating an outlook on life and a way of approaching life’s challenges. In this experiential workshop, participants will learn about some of the evidence-based health benefits of practicing gratitude while experiencing some simple stress-reducing techniques to increase feelings of gratitude and well-being.

What participants are saying:

I was surprised to learn my score on the voluntary gratitude survey. It allowed me to see where I fell on the curve and realize I had a lot of work to do. I previously started a gratitude journal, but stopped after a while. I am picking it up again after the inspiration from this workshop. Thank you for putting this workshop together and making it available to the Yale community.

This was a great workshop and just what I needed during a very stressful time in my life. Thank you very much.

My gratitude awareness has been raised and my commitment to expressing gratitude made more solid. Thank you for sharing the valuable research that supports this practice. This class should be a requirement for all staff at Yale University.
