Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice

Sometimes in life we focus on what’s wrong - problems, struggles, and stressors - and lose sight of what’s good and strong in ourselves and others.

Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice is an eight-week, experiential program designed by Dr. Ryan Niemiec, PsyD., Education Director of the VIA Institute on Character, which focuses the power of mindfulness on personal character strengths. The purpose is to train participants on both mindfulness and character strengths practices and to learn how each enhances the other. This synergy can then be used to create one’s best life and to better navigate challenges. Learn about what your unique signature strengths are and how best to use them mindfully at work and at home, with colleagues, friends and family. Learn how to shift your focus from what’s wrong to what’s strong!

Sessions consists of mindfulness practices, including meditation, brief written character strengths exercises, and group discussion. Each one hour session presents new content which builds off of the previous week so being able to attend all sessions as best as possible is important. Join Danielle Casioppo, MS, charter-certified MBSP instructor and VIA faculty member, for an empowering course that may just change your life!
